Tennessee Election
Information impacting homeschoolers.

Does the candidate support homeschooling?

Candidates: e-mail us your statements to be included on this page.

US Senator | US Representative | Governor |State Senator | State Representative

One of the elements homeschoolers should consider before they cast their vote is how the candidate feels about homeschooling, school choice and education in general. From now to election time, this page will be a place to come and check on candidate positions.

If the candidate was in the State House in April of 2001 you can see if they voted for homeschooling freedom. In 2001 Rep. Mark Maddox (D-Dresden) sponsored legislation that would require homeschoolers who left a CRS to report where they were next educating their children to the local education agency. The bill was defeated. You can check this page and see how your representative voted and see if their talk matches their walk.

If your candidate's position is not included here they may not have any opposition in the election. You are welcome to write TnHomeEd just in case an error has been made. If there is a hyperlink to their website the candidate has been asked to provide a statement for this page. This page is still being updated but we wanted you to have as much as we did in the meantime. Thanks for your patience.

On the left margin you will find the names of previous candidates which are linked to pages that contain comments made by them, information from their websites or information on their voting record in regard to homeschooling issues along with any endorsements by homeschoolers.
