AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-6-
3050, relative to attendance of school-aged children.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE:
SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 49-6-3050(a)(2)(C)(i) , is amended by
inserting after the words “would otherwise attend” at the end of the subdivision, the words “and
must notify such LEA if the child is withdrawn from the home school covered under the
provisions of this subdivision (a)(2) and where such child will be educated after such
withdrawal”.
SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law, the public welfare requiring
it.

Here's the pertinent paragraph with the proposed amendment in red.

( C) (i) Notwithstanding the provisions of subdivision (a)(2)(A)
conduct a home school covered by the provisions of this subdivision must register children
who would be in grades nine (9) through twelve (12) with the local education agency which
the child would otherwise attend
and must notify such LEA if the child is withdrawn from the home school covered under the provisions of this subdivision (a)(2) and where such child will be educated after such
withdrawal.
